As we celebrated Halloween this week, trick or treaters definately got a taste of the crisp autumn air during the evening. What does this mean… We are in the heart of fall! As Minnesotans we know that soon we will be dawning the hats, gloves, and winter jackets… if we haven’t already in some cases. But in addition to the weather changes, other activities will be taking place as well!
This weekend I would like to elaborate on two events:
1. Opening Game Season: Many Minnesota deer hunters will be sporting the neon orange beginning early tomorrow morning. From Saturday, November 5th to Sunday, November 13th deer hunters will be out searching for their prize deer. To the hundreds of hunters that will be out, best of luck and be safe!
2. The second item I would like to address is remember to turn back your clocks! Tomorrow night daylight savings time ends! Which means the days will be getting darker even sooner. Soon we will have the winter solstice… the shortest day of the year in about a month and half. To make sure your not early and to make sure you get your extra hour of sleep… don’t for get to turn your clocks back tomorrow night!
Will you be out hunting this weekend? Or do you have a daylight savings time story to tell? Post it in a comment!
