A Reason to Relay!

It’s a disease of many forms that has an effect on everyone in some way. Whether you are a survivor of the disease, a caregiver to a patient, a relative or friend to a person who has died, survived, or is fighting the terrible disease, or any other relation, you are more than familiar with the life-altering challenges that have come your way. Canccer is this terrible disease taht affects so many lives everyday.

Because so many friends, loved ones, family, and people we haven’t even met in the world are fighting the same battle, my family formed a Relay for Life team through the American Cancer Society. Joel, Sheila, Miranda, Marcus and I have foremd the team “The Wonderfully Wired Walbridges.” An all fitting name for a family that runs an electrical company.

On July 29th, 2011 we will be at the Fillmore County Relay for Life in Preston, Minnesota. We will be walking the luminary lit path all night. As a team we’ve been fundraising for the past month trying to reach our goal of $1,000.00.

As a reader, I’m sure you’ve experienced some sort of challenge stemming from cancer. If you would like to help us in our fight to find a cure, visit my personal relay page at http://main.acsevents.org/site/TR/RelayForLife/RFLFY11MW?px=22124025&pg=personal&fr_id=29990

This year, 1.4 miillion Americans alone will be diagnosed with cancer. And there will be several more from other nations. One of these could be someone you know. Help them by giving a donation at this link: http://main.acsevents.org/site/TR?pg=team&fr_id=29990&team_id=978188

Thank you for your support to end cancer and to find a cure!
